Terms of Service
Open Source Democracy (“OSD,” “we”) is a free service that gathers public government meetings and advocacy events into one searchable place. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Accuracy of event information
We gather event information from public sources and present it as accurately as we can — but it can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Meetings get moved, cancelled, and rescheduled, and not every change reaches us in time. Always confirm the date, time, and location with the original source, linked in the event details, before you attend an event.
Not affiliated with any government
OSD is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official channel of any government entity, office, official, or political party. Listing an event is not an endorsement of that event, its organizer, or any viewpoint.
Acceptable Use
Use the site to find, share, and attend civic events. Don’t use it to harass anyone and don’t try to disrupt or misuse it. We may limit or block access to anyone that does.
“As is,” and Limitation of Liability
The site and its data are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OSD and anyone associated with it won’t be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its information — including a meeting that was moved, cancelled, or otherwise listed incorrectly.
Changes & Governing Law
We may update these terms as the service changes; continued use means you accept the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
