WPCU Employee Volunteer Event- Americana 250 Cycling Classic

Join the Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) Sunshine Fund team on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Heritage Hub to celebrate history, community, and health at the Americana 250 festival. Volunteers play a vital role in making this massive public event a success while supporting the Sunshine Fund's mission of spreading positivity and lifting up our neighbors. The day kicks off with participant registration at 8:00 AM, followed immediately by the official start of the Cyclist Classic race at 9:00 AM. To support these riders as they tackle the course, the event is hosting a dedicated Cyclist Classic Rest Stop. This high-energy oasis provides weary cyclists with hydration, healthy snacks, basic first aid, and mechanical tools to refuel and recharge before they head back out on the road. The heart of the festival takes place at the Heritage Hub, a vibrant public marketplace featuring local small business vendors selling unique regional goods, alongside regional bike shops offering gear displays, quick tune-ups, and safety information for cycling enthusiasts. Families can head over to the action-packed Kids Zone, which features thrilling obstacle challenges, a creative bike decorating station, professional face painting, and balloon artists. A curated lineup of local food trucks will also be on-site all day to offer a diverse range of meals and snacks to attendees. To honor our historic milestones, the festival will host the Tricentennial Time Capsule contest, where a panel of judges will review community artifact submissions live, announce the winners on the main stage, and officially seal the chosen items into the capsule for the next century.
