Ballot Count Canvass Observer Training

Be a Ballot Count Canvass Observer on Election Day and help ensure every vote is counted! Each PA county has a central location where ballots are sorted and counted (“canvassed”). This begins at 7:00 AM on Election Day and continues throughout the week. Canvass Observers help ensure every vote is counted by monitoring the canvassing process, providing progress updates, and reporting any irregularities to the Voter Protection Team. We will train and support you every step of the way! We need Canvass Observer volunteers for morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts, beginning at 7AM on Election Day and continuing until the last vote is counted. Once you complete this training, you tell us your availability and where you can go, and we will assign you a shift and location. (Those who complete training earlier will have more options!) You only need to complete one session of this training.
