GRAND Overpass Brigade

Be part of the Nationwide Visibility Brigade and come to the safe Grand Overpass for high-impact fun. We wave flags. display signs with messages of solidarity for the street traffic and hang a banner for travelers below. Meet us at 4:20 at the back of the McDonalds parking lot as we walk together to the overpass at Hwy. 101 and GRAND AVE. in Arroyo Grande on the 2nd & 4th Friday each month during rush hour; 4:30-5:30. Banner provided. Bring flags, posters, music, costumes, water and have fun! Leave space on the overpass for pedestrians. Don't engage with hecklers. This is a powerful "feel good" action connecting with like-minded folks while giving travelers a boost too! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
