10/29 - Voter Mobilization @ SMU Campus with Beto

### Ready to do the work that actually works? In 2024, our face-to-face voter registration model achieved a massive 79% voter turnout among the Texans we registered. We aren't just hoping for change—we have the blueprint to create it. Join us and special guest **Beto O'Rourke** for the **Every Campus Counts** tour at **SMU**! We are showing up to talk to students, spark personal conversations, and build lasting progressive power through relational organizing. At this event, we will: - Engage directly with existing and potential student voters - Connect with voters using **Reach**, our relational organizing tool, so we can personally stay in touch with them all the way to Election Day - **All volunteers are welcome!** There are plenty of vital roles for everyone ### Shift Schedule & Flow (Subject to change) To ensure a smooth and high-impact day, we ask all volunteers to arrive **60 minutes before Beto arrives** for our team huddle. Here is what to expect during your shift: - **[12:00-1:00pm]: Setup & Team Huddle** | Arrive early to grab your materials, meet the team, and align on our goals before the crowd gathers. - **[12:30pm-3:00pm]: Voter Engagement & Mobilization** | The main event! We hit the campus ground running and get folks set up on Reach (plus a special appearance by Beto!) - **[3:00-4:00pm]: Beto Town Hall and Q&A - **[4:00-5:00pm]: Walk to the Polls - some volunteers will walk with students to the polls for early voting. Takedown & Post-Event Debrief** | We will pack up our gear, tally our total Reach adds, celebrate our wins, and talk about next steps ### How to Prepare Before you arrive, please make sure you attend our **[mandatory online volunteer training](https://www.mobilize.us/poweredxpeople/event/908390/)** on Zoom. This training will get you fully up to speed on the flow of our events and teach you exactly how to navigate the Reach app. ### Where to Meet & Park - **Meeting Location**: TBD - **Volunteer Parking**: TBD ### What to Bring To set y
