09/08 - Voter Mobilization @ UTD with Beto

### Ready to do the work that actually works? In 2024, our face-to-face voter registration model achieved a massive 79% voter turnout among the Texans we registered. We aren't just hoping for change—we have the blueprint to create it. Join us and special guest **Beto O'Rourke** for the **Every Campus Counts** tour at **The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD)**! We are showing up to talk to students, spark personal conversations, and build lasting progressive power through relational organizing. At this event, we will: - Engage directly with existing and potential student voters - Register eligible voters on the spot - Connect with voters using **Reach**, our relational organizing tool, so we can personally stay in touch with them all the way to Election Day ### Voter Registrar Requirements - **All volunteers are welcome!** There are plenty of vital roles for everyone, _whether you are certified or not_. - **Important Note**: If you want to physically register voters at this event, you **MUST** be a certified Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) in at least **Dallas County or Collin County**. - _Not certified yet?_ Don't worry! You can get certified ahead of time by signing up for our [VDR Training](https://www.mobilize.us/poweredxpeople/event/908495/). ### Shift Schedule & Flow To ensure a smooth and high-impact day, we ask all volunteers to arrive **60 minutes before Beto arrives** for our team huddle. Here is what to expect during your shift: - **[10:00-11:00am]: Setup & Team Huddle** | Arrive early to grab your materials, meet the team, and align on our goals before the crowd gathers. - **[11:00am-4:00pm] Voter Registration & Mobilization** | The main event! We hit the campus ground running, register voters, and get folks set up on Reach (plus a special appearance by Beto!) - **[4:00-5:00pm]: Takedown & Post-Event Debrief** | We will pack up our gear, tally our total registrations, celebrate our wins, and talk about next steps ### How to Prepare Before you arrive, pl
