About this event
ITAG is proud to partner with Seed Theatre to present our second Good Trouble Lives On event, centered on one powerful call to action: Vote. Marginalized communities are disproportionately affected by food insecurity. But did you know that your vote can directly influence funding, policies, and support systems that help address these inequities? This engaging panel will feature individuals who will share their lived experiences with food insecurity, as well as insights from their work serving impacted communities. Panelists will also discuss how key elected offices at the local and regional levels can shape policies and funding that affect access to food and other essential resources. Speakers will provide an overview of food insecurity in our region, including current data, available community resources, and the most pressing needs facing local communities. Join us for an important conversation about the connection between civic engagement and food justice—and discover how your vote can help create meaningful change. Disclaimer: This event is non-partisan and does not support nor endorse any particular candidate or ballot measure. A core principle behind all Good Trouble Lives On events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
