Canvass Improv with Durham Democrats

New to canvassing or just want to sharpen your pitch before hitting the doors? Join us for an evening built to get you comfortable and confident before your first (or next) shift in the field. We'll skip the lecture and get straight to practice. In small groups, you'll run through real door-knock scenarios with fellow volunteers — introducing yourself, delivering the message, handling tough questions, and navigating the "not interested" moments that trip everyone up at first. You'll rotate through roles as both the canvasser and the voter, so you get a feel for both sides of the conversation.
