Stand Up for Democracy

This is a local Indivisible event! Join Indivisible, Middletown Outrage into Action and Shore Area NOW as we protest in Middletown!! We show up to voice a slew of concerns, including the Trump administration's disregard and disrespect for our Constitution, the illegal war in Iran, ICE’s illegal detention of immigrants without due process, ICE’s escalation of illegal and cruel behavior at Delaney Hall, around NJ, and throughout the country, the cuts to Medicaid, USAID, SNAP, and the Veterans' Administration and other essential federal programs, the tax cuts to billionaires, the slush fund for insurrectionists and Trump’s threats to other countries as well. Until Rep. Chris Smith and the rest of Congress begin to show genuine congressional oversight and push back against the unconstitutional actions of the Trump administration, we will protest. Join us Wednesday from 4:30 to sunset in front of Rep. Chris Smith's former Middletown office located at 1715 Route 35! While Chris Smith has abandoned this office, we have not. His office building is just north of the Middletown Post Office on 35. Look for us roadside on the grass in front of the office building's parking lot. We stay on the grassy area which is public property and do not enter the office building or its parking lot which are private property. Please do NOT park at the post office or at the 1715 office building. We are permitted to park at the enormous Staples/Mattress store parking lot where there is ample parking. Remember to bring your signs, your flags, and your friends!! Please note that we are welcome new protesters to join our peaceful group!
