# Standout for Justice: Burlington ICE Detention Center **Join us to stand in solidarity with those detained and to alert the community to the I.C.E. facility in Burlington.** The conditions reported inside are inhumane: no due process, no mattresses, no showers, and minimal food. Your presence makes a tangible difference—immigrants have reported that seeing supporters outside transforms their spirit from fear to hope and confidence. ### **Event Details** * **Time:** 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM * **Location:** Meet on the green at **1000 District Ave, Burlington**. * **The Action:** We gather at 10:00 AM outside the facility to show direct support to those inside. Bring fod which will be distributed to immigrants leaving the facility. * **The March:** Once we have enough participants, we will move as a group to **Burlington Mall Road** to raise public awareness of this facility. > **Important Note:** Please arrive at the 1000 District Ave location at the start. We move to the Mall Road as a group based on turnout; arriving early ensures you find the team and can participate in the march. ### **What to Bring** * **Food for the immigrants:** Shared items for those being released. * **Protection:** Sunscreen, a hat, and appropriate gear depending on the weather. * **Footwear:** Comfortable shoes for standing and walking. * **Signs:** We provide a small number of signs, but feel free to bring your own! **Note:** If you are bringing several signs, you can drop them off at 1000 District Ave first before parking. ### **Parking & Transportation** **Please Read:** Parking at 1000 District Ave is strictly for customers; vehicles identified as belonging to protesters **will be towed**. * **Safe parking and public transportation options will be provided via email once you register for the event.**
