Florida’s utility system is built to benefit corporate power companies, not everyday people. While families across our state struggle with rising bills, utility companies continue to profit from a system designed to keep communities paying more and having less say. Join our Public Service Commission Training to learn how Florida’s energy system works, who holds the power, and how we can organize to fight for affordable energy. Attendees will also have the chance to apply for financial support through our new Student Utility Relief Fund! The Student Utility Relief Fund (SURF) is a rapid-response mutual aid initiative designed to meet the immediate needs of young people experiencing utility insecurity across Florida due to unjust rate hikes.
