Are you angry about the cruel, unlawful actions of this government? Do you want to remind people that they are not alone in these unprecedented times? We need you. Do you want to spread democratic ideas to your neighbors? We need you. Join us to protest as we wave signs and post giant, easy-to-read letters on the Central Avenue overpass over 880 between Newark and Fremont, every Tuesday from 4-6pm. Come whenever you can. Bring your enthusiasm and a sign (or grab one ready-made). We meet at 3:45 at 5480 Central Avenue where there is ample parking. Then we walk up the overpass where there are no on or off ramps. We experience the joy of the honking from big rigs on the highway to bicycle bells on Central Avenue. You know that action is the best antidepressant medicine on the market today! A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
