About this event
Piloted in 2021, "WELLderness: An Outdoor Wellness Series" was developed to bring members of the community together (in person and online) to engage in activities that would have a positive impact on their physical and mental health and well-being. Throughout the year, people have the opportunity to participate in FREE events that center around fostering better connections to self and the environment. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sports Conditioning - Total Body Strength & Conditioning: Class begins with an active warm-up to get the blood flowing, lightly stretch the muscles, and prepare for the workout. The workout will start with calisthenics before moving into light running, lateral shuffling, and squat jumps. You'll then do some light sprinting, reverse shuffling, and burpees. Next, you'll go back into calisthenics, which may include push-ups, lunges, and core exercises. You'll repeat this cycle at least once more before moving into a cool-down.
