About this event
Piloted in 2021, "WELLderness: An Outdoor Wellness Series" was developed to bring members of the community together (in person and online) to engage in activities that would have a positive impact on their physical and mental health and well-being. Throughout the year, people have the opportunity to participate in FREE events that center around fostering better connections to self and the environment. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "Listening to Nature: A Gateway to Connection" Join Christine for this immersive sound experience. You'll start by learning about resonance, which refers to the process of attuning to and harmonizing with both body sensations and the energy of those around us. As a group you'll select one of the 8 principles of resonance as your focus for the session. Next, you'll relax and enjoy Christine's musical sound accompaniment as you engage with the natural environment. The session will end with a guided meditation. From Christine: "By practicing attentive listening in the gardens, participants will enhance their ability to listen actively to reduce conflict and the judgmental voice. This session highlights the importance of accompaniment, making it easier to regulate emotion. Active participation attempts to enable compassionate connection to promote trust, safety and healing. The formation of traumatic memory happens when we feel alone. Accompaniment starts to happen when one person consents to let another travel with them, emotionally or physically, for more than one resonant exchange ultimately fostering a sense of peace, well-being, and a stronger bond with nature, all essential for human health and vitality." Christine Maila is a certified Resonant Healing Practitioner. Christine supports clients with unconscious contract/sacred vow work and time travel empathy, as well as other Resonant Healing practices. She draws on her mindfulness practices and background in education while supporting others in moving
