Domestic workers in New York City have rights, but too often we’re not told what they are or how to use them. Know it. Share it. Claim it is a workshop series led by the NDWA NY Enforcement Program. The series was designed to help domestic workers understand their rights, share their experiences, and feel confident in claiming what they’re owed. This will be a good space to connect with other domestic workers in the community who are facing similar challenges, and practice standing up for ourselves, together. We are proud to be joined by the NYC Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), Catholic Migration Services (CMS), and the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP), who will share information about the protections and resources available to you. We're excited for you to join us! All sessions are on Zoom at 8 pm. See below for upcoming workshops and dates! May 8 – Human Rights Law and Protections for Domestic Workers in Employment June 12 – Sexual Harassment in the Workplace July 16 – Caring for Others, Fighting for Ourselves: Rights for Home Caregivers August 21 – DCWP and the Resources Available to Workers and Residents September 18 – Paid Leave Rights October 16 – Employment Agency Regulations
