IA: Davenport Canvass for Clean Water

### Join Food & Water Watch every other Saturday to talk with our neighbors about Iowa's water crisis! Recently, [Food & Water Watch sued the EPA to protect Iowa’s drinking water.](https://www.foodandwaterwatch.org/2026/05/14/groups-sue-trump-epa-over-iowa-waters-impaired-by-cancer-linked-nitrates/) Now, we’re canvassing our neighborhoods, asking people how they’ve been impacted by the crisis and listening to their stories. We can’t do this alone. Iowa deserves clean water and _we need you with us._ Together, we will organize, talk to our neighbors, and share information about what we can do to keep our water safe and send a clear message to elected officials: **stop putting billionaires ahead of working families.** We will meet at _Lafayette Park at noon_ for a brief training session on having effective conversations. Then, we will pair up and head out! After everyone finishes their list/shift, we meet back up at Lafayette Park and debrief over pizza! **No prior experience canvassing is needed!** We use the miniVAN phone app to track our conversations, so please bring a fully charged phone with the app installed, or let us know if you need a paper list.
