About this event
### More than a quarter of eligible voters are not registered to vote. #### In key states like North Carolina and Georgia, the number is even higher. ### You can help! ### Three Easy Steps: - **STEP ONE: Who Needs to Hear from You?** _Go through your contact lists, your email directories, your family connections, your personal network. Is everyone registered to vote? Has anyone moved recently? Who needs reminders to do things? Does everyone know that voting matters to you?_ - **STEP TWO: Reach Out** _Reach out personally. Let them know: Voting is important to you. Ask them to join you as a regular voter. Share the [National Voter Registration Form](https://www.eac.gov/voters/national-mail-voter-registration-form). It's usable almost everywhere, to register or update voter registration. And it's available in nearly 20 languages. Local election information is available at [eac.gov](https://www.eac.gov/voters/register-and-vote-in-your-state)._ - **STEP THREE: Follow Up** _A week later, touch base again. Ask if they've checked their registration. Thank them! You have built a bond around your shared values._ Research backs it up: Personal contact WORKS. These calls are some of the most effective tools we have to build progressive power.
