There is no modern precedence for the U.S. Government to broadcast an execution; the last public execution occurred in 1936. Experts say that public executions and footage of executions are circulated as intimidation tactics and to demonstrate power. This type of barbarism and public intimidation is deeply un-American and could have chilling effects on the psychological well-being of our society. ### Call Script Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].
