About this event
Come and meet your fellow Federal Way Indivisible members and start working together to make change! Set-up at 5pm for a 5:30pm for a potluck meal (mains provided but feel free to bring sides and desserts) optional games, and community building. Action starts at 6:15pm. Stay to help clean-up at around 8pm. In September, we'll be focusing on the upcoming November midterm election, including guests sharing their insights with us about state ballot initiatives, state Supreme Court races, and district court races. We may have some candidates to highlight as well, depending on their schedules. We'll even have some Vote Forward postcards to send to swing state voters and encourage them to get out and vote! If time allows, you'll also get a chance to break into groups to work on: elections/flipping city council in 2027 and community building efforts. Please consider bringing non-perishable goods, diapers, formula, clothing, or hygiene products to donate to the Wayside UCC community pantry program as a thank you for providing a beautiful space for us to gather while we also help our neighbors in need. Lots of parking is available. Kids welcome! While there will be no formal child care, we'll have coloring and activity sheets and we love to hear kids being kids. Bring kid-friendly board games to play during game time! No sign-up needed unless you wish to receive emails from and share your data with the Mobilize platform.
