About this event
**It's time to talk to voters in CD22!** Let's build the grassroots power Democrats need to elect **Randy Villegas in 2026** and to defend democracy long term. Join us in going door-to-door talking to voters. We'll employ **deep canvassing techniques** such as active listening to open our voter conversations and learn which issues are important to them. **$100 daily stipend** is available to offset your out-of-district travel costs. - Friday, August 7 | 9:30 am to 6:00 pm or 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm - Saturday, August 8 | 9:30 am to 6:00 pm - Sunday, August 9 | 9:30 am to 1:00 pm New to canvassing? We will train you (and we are lots of fun). Bring a friend. Or two. Be a part of the change we're all looking for. Once you've signed up, a Bay Area Coalition volunteer will contact you and help with carpools and/or housing options ... and we have cooling cars if the weather is warm. They will also give you details about the meeting location and names of people running the event. No experience is necessary. When you arrive at the staging location you will be trained and given all the supplies you need. We'll have clipboards, forms, pens, snacks, and water. Bring your personal items like comfy shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a smile. We will be using PDI and so a well-powered smartphone is necessary. RSVP today and invite a friend to join us! Never canvassed before or need a refresher? Join the Bay Area Coalition *Yes, You Can(vass)!* workshop on Tuesdays - https://www.mobilize.us/cadems/event/596490/ Or, if you are not able to knock doors, you can still support volunteer canvassers in the Central Valley - donate here https://secure.actblue.com/donate/centralvalleycanvassing For more Bay Area Coalition actions: https://bayareacoalition.org/
