The City Council is the policy-making body for the City of Wilson. The Council is responsible for setting policy, approves annual budgets; passes ordinances; resolutions, and other actions; approving appropriations and contracts; and levying taxes. In addition, City Council appoints the city manager, city attorney, city clerk, along with the members of various boards and commissions. The Wilson City Council meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, on the third floor of City Hall, 112 Goldsboro St, East. We meet outside around 6:50 and walk in together.
