Take a Stand Tuesdays - South Cary

Please join Engaged Defenders for Democracy in south Cary every Tuesday from 7:30-9am as we gather to demonstrate at the intersection of Kildaire Farm Road and 1010. Park in the parking lot of Walgreens (3441 Kildaire Farm Road), but please don’t use any prime customer parking spaces. We will stand on the sidewalk on the corner next to Walgreens. This peaceful visibility event is intended to motivate people to take an active role in defending our democracy. Inaction supports the regime, so our goal is to connect with drivers on their morning commutes and inspire them to make the shift from idle bystander to engaged participant. We also want to give people who are currently uncertain or afraid the courage they need to TAKE A STAND and get involved to protect our democracy. This is a positive and nonviolent demonstration. We are standing up for what we believe in. We want to inspire people to join us and grow our movement. Please bring positive signs only. Some examples: “Stand up, you are not alone!” “Courage is contagious!” “Dissenting is patriotic!” If you've never done this before, we're happy to help you. We will have extra signs for anyone who needs one. Feel free to bring a friend.
