Weekly Saturday Demonstrations at Leisure World on Georgia Ave.

We will be holding Saturday demonstrations outside Leisure World for the foreseeable future to support democracy and resist authoritarianism. Starting on February 7th at 2:30-3:30 pm, rain or shine, we will congregate along Georgia Avenue in front of the Leisure World Shopping Center. Bring your signs, noise makers, costumes, chairs, warm drinks, and a fun attitude. The One Million Rising Alliance of Leisure World, the Unitarian Universalists of Leisure World, the Democratic Club, the Progressive Club, and the Edmonson Society are joining together to sponsor this event. You do not have to be a member of any of these groups to come join us. All are welcome! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action.
