About this event
THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT IN CHICAGO - PLEASE BRING A BOOK OF STAMPS OR $16.40 TO COVER STAMPS. Since 2019, Swing Left Chicago volunteers have written tens of thousands of letters to voters - and we’re not stopping now. The key to defeating the GOP is voter turnout, and letter writing campaigns is one of the most effective ways to boost turnout among likely Democratic voters. Join us to write letters to voters to help increase the participation of historically underrepresented communities in Pennsylvania. Our goal is to send 2,500 letters! When: Every Tuesday, 7-9 PM
Where: Pilot Project Brewing, Logan Square (2140 N Milwaukee St) What to bring: Yourself (and friends!), plus a book of stamps (20) or $16.40 (cash, Venmo, or Zelle) to help cover postage. No experience? No problem! We’ll show you everything you need to know. We provide the letters, envelopes, pens, addresses, directions and you write the blurb (examples provided). While donations aren’t required to participate, bringing stamps or contributing to postage costs helps us send more letters - and reach more voters. Stamps can be purchased at post offices, many drugstores and grocery stores, or online at USPS.com. We also ask that attendees purchase something to eat or drink to thank our generous hosts at Pilot Project (and don’t forget to tip your server!). 📩 Questions? swingleftchicago@gmail.com Let’s write, connect, and make an impact - together.
