Civic Watch: Volunteer to Attend Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation Meetings

Decisions that impact our community get made in public meetings, often with little public input in the room. The Spartanburg County Democratic Party is building a "Civic Watch" team to attend key local meetings, take notes for the party and the public, and sign up to speak during public comment when timely issues come up. The Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation is made up of state House and Senate members representing Spartanburg County. They meet periodically throughout the year to address local legislative matters that require General Assembly action. By attending these meetings as a volunteer observer, you'll help ensure our community stays informed about decisions being made by our state legislators on local issues. Whether you choose to speak during public comment, take notes, or simply be a presence in the room, your participation matters. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to show up and pay attention to what's happening in your community.
