About this event
Building the narrative of Transit Justice in our community is a critical part of our work. The Communications Committee hosts monthly virtual working meetings to tell the story of PPT’s campaigns, successes, and struggles. During these meetings, attendees help produce content that communicates our work to the public— including writing blogs, editing videos, creating content for our social media channels, curating photography, and doing graphic design. Since 2025, the Communications Committee has been a joint space for members of Pittsburghers for Public Transit and supporters of [Transit for All PA!](https://www.transitforallpa.org/), the statewide transit campaign that we lead. Supporters of both organizations are welcome at these meetings, and we may work on projects relevant to Allegheny County or elsewhere in Pennsylvania. ### You might be a good fit for the Communications Committee if...
- You love writing and/or social media content creation
- You have experience with photography, graphic design, or web design ## 2026 Training Series In 2026, our Communications Committee will be conducting a Comms Training Series! Each meeting will focus on a different core skill for communications work within organizing and justice movements. Here is a look at our syllabus for the year. We will release RSVP links on a rolling basis, so stay tuned to sign up for future dates! **September: Telling your story in social media videos** Organizing is all about sharing your story—and short-form social media videos are where people are listening. It's easier than you think to tell your story in a social media video; no experience or special equipment required, just a smartphone or tablet! This is a great opportunity to practice for the upcoming Week Without Driving. **October: Photographing and videoing the movement** What makes a good photograph, or video, for our work? Review great photos and videos. In this session, we'll tips and tricks for documenting direct actions. **November:
