Protect people, protect the safety net

We are continuing our rallies at the Beaverton Social Security office to tell Trump and his MAGA leaders to keep their hands off or the safety near and instead promote policies to help people thrice. Defend democracy and resist the authoritarian takeover of this cruel administration that does not care if people go hungry, without access to medical care, and without access to the services so many nonprofits provide. Bring friends, neighbors, signs, chants. We get great support! It’s a very supportive, friendly crowd! Please note that as of 11/14, the time is changed to 3:30 to 4:30pm. Many people have asked about walking a block north to Lombard and Farmington to continue protest after, which is great for those who want to continue later at a very visible rush hour location. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
