Economic Justice Committee

Economic Justice Committee works to mitigate against poverty in Rochester, building alliances and coalition to diminish the harm caused by poverty. Rochester is the 3rd worst City of Poverty in NYS and the 5th worst in the country. Our task is to ensure funds allocated from City and State government is used in support the most vulnerable and marginalized communities. Our overall task is to build a campaign to ensure the rich pay their fair share in taxes, building the Invest in Our New York (IONY) campaign. The Economic Justice Committee meetings every Tuesday evening from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
