Detroit Steps Maintenance Day

Let's make Sunnyside shine together! Join the the Detroit Steps Project, Refuse Refuse, SF Public Works, and the community for a friendly neighborhood cleanup! Volunteers will meet at the lower Detroit Steps (Detroit St & Hearst Ave) to grab supplies, meet your project leader and split into crews. Cleaning, sweeping, and gardening will occur from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the steps and surrounding neighborhood. The Detroit Steps Project is a multi-year multi-phased community-led project to beautify with landscape and tiling the Detroit Steps, a 185-step stairway in Sunnyside.
