Blue Action SWATX Monthly Meeting (in-person)

Join us for our monthly meeting the first Sunday of the month at 2:00pm at the Travis County Democratic Party's coordinated campaign office. September 6th: Please join us for a discussion with two congressional candidates as they discuss their tales from the trails. Military veteran and business leader Caitlin Rourk is running for CD 10 in western Travis County. It is an open seat and runs out to East Texas. Lockhart teacher Tanya Lloyd is running in CD 27. This congressional district takes in SW Austin, parts of East Austin, Hays County and all the way down to Corpus Christi. These new districts are a result of Trump’s redistricting push. While they are Republican-leaning districts, they also include large swaths of deeply Democratic voters making less of a safe R seat than previously. Following our speakers, we will discuss potential changes to AISD and ways you can get help turn Texas blue. So, come on out for refreshments, fun and fellowship.
