Steward Training: How to Represent Co-Workers in Investigatory Meetings (Online)

This training is for all UFCW 3000 Stewards who want to learn how to represent co-workers in investigatory meetings -- often called "Weingarten" meetings. When a supervisor calls a worker into a meeting to investigate some alleged wrongdoing, it can be very stressful. Fortunately, most union members have a right to union representation in investigatory meetings. This training will teach UFCW 3000 Stewards how to represent co-workers in investigatory meetings and ensure that their rights are protected. You will learn: - When Weingarten rights apply. - How to help a co-worker prepare for an investigatory meeting. - What a Steward can (and cannot) do for members during an investigatory meeting. - How to follow up with the coworker and Union staff after the meeting.
