Education Hub Canvass with Incarnation Lutheran

Our public school system is at a crossroads. Milwaukee Public Schools has a new Superintendent and long term budget issues due to the state legislature underfunding our education system. In the leadup to the November 2026 election, MICAH’s Education Taskforce is organizing congregations to engage voters for the health of our education system. Specifically, we are calling on the congregations surrounding Keefe Ave, Siefert, Clarke St, Auer Ave, Hopkins Lloyd and Douglas schools, which are at risk of closure for the 2027-2028 school year, to join our Education Hubs. The Democracy Collective, which includes the Education Hubs, is designed to strengthen congregations’ ability to educate and activate voters while creating deeper relationships, inside and out of the congregation. Central to the Collective are Democracy Hubs: neighborhood canvasses anchored by a MICAH congregation, organized in collaboration with other congregations. Canvassers receive training and food.
