Want to support organizers across NYC to run powerful art builds? Looking for a creative way to get involved with social movement work? Want to learn more about Many Hands Workshop? Come to our November co-host training at our space in Chelsea! Our co-host training is Many Hands Workshop 101 - a place to build our faciliation skills, get familiar with the workshop, and dig in deep together about why art is essential to beating fascism. Together we'll... - Level up our art facilitator skills - Learn how to welcome new people into Many Hands Workshop and plug them into art builds and organizing - Practice teaching skills like stenciling, heat press, and painting banners and signs - Talk about the role of community-based art making in fighting fascism - Go over some of the basic FAQs of the workshop, like “Where is the bathroom?” and “How do I clean my paint brush?” If you’ve ever come to an art build at Many Hands Workshop and wanted to get more involved, becoming a co-host is one of the best ways to do that. After the training, you will be invited to use your co-hosting skills at one of our upcoming public art builds. Even if you’ve volunteered to be a co-host at a past art build, we still encourage you to go through the Co-Host Training. This training will be slightly different from the host orientations that happen before art builds. The MHW core team is working on building a standardized baseline of things every co-host should know. This co-host training is where we’ll go over that baseline information and all get synced up!
