About this event
### Nothing's spookier than not voting, but 65,000 **known** Democrats skip the midterms! Help us remind those Democrats in Coeur d'Alene on Saturday, October 31 to cast their ballot. This is the **easiest** kind of face-to-face outreach: knocking the doors of known Democrats who simply haven't voted regularly in the midterms. Now's you're time to remind them to get out there and inform them of their polling place. If they're not home, you'll place an oversized sticky note reminder that includes a QR code they can use to find their polling place. **NO HEAVY PERSUASION** You'll meet your knock host at the Kootenai Dems office in downtown CDA (address provided upon registration). There you'll get a list of doors and handouts, snacks for the walk, help setting up the door knocking app on your phone or tablet, and a door knocking buddy if you don't want to walk alone. Bring a friend to make it fun! **What to expect:** - Arrive at 9:30am to the Kootenai Dems office in downtown CDA
- Check in with the door knocking host; receive any training or help you might need with the MiniVAN app, a list of doors, materials, snacks, and a partner upon availability
- Head out to your doors!
- Come back to the office when you're done turn in unused materials **How to prepare:** - Download the MiniVAN app to your phone or tablet
- Create an ActionID if you've not already
- Confirm your attendance the day before
- Check the weather and dress accordingly—including comfortable walking shoes!
- Bring a water bottle
- Make sure your phone or tablet is fully charged
- Bring a friend to make it fun! **Questions? Email [volunteer@kootenaidemocrats.org](mailto:volunteer@kootenaidemocrats.org)**
