Tax the Billionaires: Canvass for YES on Prop 40 in San Diego

Join the San Diego & Imperial Counties Labor Council to knock on doors to win YES on Prop 40 for a billionaire tax this November! California is one of the wealthiest places in the world, but working people are being asked to pay the price for devastating healthcare cuts so billionaires can get more tax breaks. Prop 40 is our chance to change that. It makes billionaires pay their fair share so California doesn't lose healthcare funding and essential services. At this community canvass, we'll talk to voters about why California needs to tax billionaires to keep hospitals and ERs open, protect healthcare for California families, and fund food assistance and K-14 education. No previous campaign experience is necessary. There will be a brief training at the start of the event and new canvassers can be paired with more experienced members. Be sure to bring a fully charged smartphone, sun protection, and appropriate footwear for walking!
