🐥 You are invited to TWO ACTIONS in ONE DAY to Stand Up for Hens & Chickens — CJ Group + Compass Group❗️ We are excited to collaborate with our friends at Mercy for Animals for TWO pressure campaigns to double our impact❗️ Show up in your best Halloween gear if you'd like :) 📅 Saturday, October 31st | 🕚 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Join Mercy For Animals and The Humane League for a two-stop day of action targeting corporate failures on animal welfare. Stop 1: Tous Les Jours Bakery Café: 11am-12pm 📍 404 E 2nd St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 📢 We'll kick things off with a demo outside Tous Les Jours, targeting parent company CJ Group. We're calling on CJ Group to lead the way in South Korea with a global cage-free policy for all egg-laying hens in their supply chain to advocate for no more hens locked in cages that don't let them even spread their wings. Join us to show up for and defend the millions and millions of egg-laying hens and broiler chickens that suffer in horrific factory farms as a result of very greedy massive companies. Stop 2: The GRAMMY Museum: 2pm-3pm 📍 800 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90015 📢From there, we'll head to the GRAMMY Museum to speak with guests about Compass Group's failure to take real, concrete steps to eliminate "Frankenchickens" — fast-growing chicken breeds bred for size over welfare — from their supply chain. 🥚 Egg-laying hens live in very small dirty wire cages where they lose their mind and they cannot express natural behaviors like foraging and dust bathing.
