TEAM JAMIE DAVIS-Listening Session-PECAN ISLAND

## SpaceX is coming to Vermilion Parish, and the people who live here deserve to be heard. SpaceX has announced a **$100 billion plan** to turn a 125,000-acre stretch of Pecan Island into "Starbase Louisiana," with construction beginning next year and a first Starship launch targeted for 2029. A project this size will touch jobs, land, the coast, fishing, hunting, wildlife, and daily life across the parish. Jamie Davis wants to hear directly from you before decisions get made without you. Bring your questions, your ideas, and your concerns, whether you're excited about the jobs, worried about the marsh, or still trying to figure out what this means for your family. ### Event details - **When:** Friday, October 23, 2026 · 6:00–8:30 PM CT - **Where:** Vermilion Parish Library – Abbeville Branch, 405 E.
