This November, every New York City voter will see five charter revision proposals on the back of their ballot. These are from the Mayor’s Commission on Government Efficiency (COGE). One of them, Proposal 3, could change how quickly the City can build street safety projects like protected bike lanes, bus lanes, and redesigned dangerous intersections. Join Transportation Alternatives and the COGE special projects team for a live webinar on what all five proposals would do. We’ll take a closer look at Prop 3 and what it means for the fight for safer streets. The proposals cover: **Prop 1:** Faster approvals for using public space, such as outdoor dining, ramps, benches, and planters **Prop 2:** City contracting reform for small businesses and nonprofits **Prop 3:** Faster street safety projects, plus faster sale and leasing of City property **Prop 4:** One central hub for building permits **Prop 5:** A required contribution to the City’s rainy day fund This is your chance to ask questions directly of the people who wrote the proposals. Bring your questions, and leave knowing what you’re voting on. **When:** Tuesday, October 20, 3:30 PM ET **Where:** Zoom. RSVP on this page and the Zoom link will be emailed to you. Can’t make it live? RSVP anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
