Get out the (early) vote & celebration

Sunday, October 25, 2026 · 1:00 PM EDT
202 E Falls St, Ithaca, NY 14850
🤝civic engagement
Join the Tompkins County WFP club and our many friends (including Indivisible Tompkins and local Democrats) at the Glacier Bar in Fall Creek on Sunday, October 25th! State Senator Lea Webb and Assembly Member Anna Kelles will welcome everyone, and will help motivate us all to make a final push toward our shared goal of turning out over 1000 early voters by the end of the day. The event begins at 1 pm. Around 1:30, participants head out to knock on doors all around downtown Ithaca, to encourage everyone to head over to the early voting polling location on Albany and State. Alternatively, people can remain in the Glacier Bar, or in the garden area, and make calls or send texts to their own friends and contacts in Tompkins County, encouraging them to go vote early. At 4:30, we will begin to gather again at the Glacier Bar for smoothies, Indian food from New Delhi Diamond Restaurant, and assorted side dishes and desserts that people bring from home. After the polls close for the day, we'll get an update on the number of voters (so far) from the Board of Elections, and raise our smoothie glasses in celebration of a powerful first weekend! The Glacier Bar is the new occupant of the former Backyard Bar of NorthStar Restaurant. They hope to open officially in November, but in the meantime they are happy to host us and to let us sample their smoothies for free! We are invited to stay longer... even set up music and dancing if we wish... but that part of the program has not been organized yet. Please RSVP so we can keep you updated on our plans as they evolve!
