March to the Polls

Join us for a “March to the Polls” on Saturday, Oct. 24th! We will gather on the North Wheeling Avenue Fallen Heroes Bridge at 1 p.m. to celebrate early voting and then starting at 1:30 p.m., one group will march to the Delaware County Fairgrounds to vote, and the other group will march to the Delaware County Building. Both of these locations are Saturday early voting sites. The march is a nonpartisan event. Participants are asked not to carry or display any signage or dress affiliated with specific candidates and/or political parties as they are not permitted inside vote centers. Signs that support democracy and the right to vote are welcome, but they will not be allowed inside vote centers. Organizing the “March to the Polls” are the League of Women Voters of Muncie-Delaware County and Muncie Resists. Other groups have been invited to participate. They include neighborhood associations, NAACP, Muncie Black Expo, the YWCA Central Indiana and others.
