About this event
Can you drive a neighbor to the ballot box? We're putting together a crew of volunteer drivers. You pick up a neighbor who needs a lift, take them to an official drop box or the county elections office so they can drop off their own ballot, and get them home. That's it. No canvassing, no scripts, just a ride. To drive, you need a valid license, your own insurance, and one 45-minute training on Zoom. This training will cover the rules (there are a few firm ones), how rides get booked, and what to do if the weather turns. Rides start Oct. 20 and run through 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3. Even one Saturday afternoon makes a difference.
