“We’re Listening: Gen X & Millennials Share Their American Experience.” Our featured speakers include: • Charlotte Landes will join us from California via zoom. Charlotte works as a Senior Audio Producer and Sound Designer at Crooked Media, where she contributes to production, mixing, editing, and audio support for Pod Save America. • Christi Allen is a SDAI member, data annotator, writer, activist, and community volunteer. Christi will share her life experiences and the challenges of raising (bright, compassionate, aware) children in this political climate. During the evening, we also will hear from: • Candidate Dale Murney, who is running for Michigan State Senate District 20, will talk about his commitment to serving the people in his district. A lifelong Michigander, Murney has an extensive background working as an attorney, prosecutor, magistrate, and court administrator in Kalamazoo, Berrien County, and South Haven. • Educator and election canvassing trainer Glenna DeJong will share important ways we can take action locally to make a difference in the midterm election. Please be specific about important details and include anything a first time attendee, or new group member, might find helpful! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
