🤝civic engagement
📅 When: Thursday, Nov 5, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Join us for a Marshal Training to learn how to keep marches and protests safe. Whether you’re brand new or just want to brush up on your skills, this session will cover both and is open to anyone ready to learn and support actions in any role. On November 7, the Saturday after the elections, many thousands of New Yorkers will mobilize for a national day of action - a mass protest against President Trump's abuses of power and federal attack on our elections. Together, we'll send a clear message: we are fighting for our democracy! 📣 This training will be interactive and discussion-based. You’ll leave with real tactics, scripts, and tools you can use right away. We’ll also go over what to do in case of police presence, counter-protesters, or emergencies. No prior experience is required — just bring your curiosity, your questions, and your commitment to keeping our community strong. You are also not required to Marshal at any time by attending this event, we encourage anyone and everyone to attend it simply to grow their skills and feel more comfortable during actions. 🧭 This is a great entry point if you’ve ever thought: “I want to help, but I don’t know where to start.” Please register so we can plan for time. Let’s build the infrastructure we need for bold, safe, and effective action.
