Love as Action: San Francisco

# Love as Action: Resisting Authoritarianism ### Quaker public witness has stood in opposition to cruel and authoritarian actions in our country before. It is time for us to show this love in action again. Please join the American Friends Service Committee and San Francisco Friends Meeting to bear witness to the authoritarian actions of ICE in our country. On Monday November 2 from 4 to 9, we will gather at the Festival of Altars in Potrero del Sol Park to honor those we've lost due to ICE's harmful, callous tactics. The altar we are building is intended to help us know their names, remember them, honor them, and ensure they know their deaths were not in vain. Please contact the organizers to sign up for a one-hour slot with the altar during the 4 to 9 time window. Our hope is that our presence will give hope to all who see us – to show that we can choose resistance - and remind everyone of our moral obligations to one another. We gather in communities across the country, showing love in action as a public witness of our Quaker values in a time of rising fascism. Join us!
