Interested in learning how you can help protect voting rights, support safe and accessible elections, and strengthen democratic participation in your communities? Pennsylvania Policy Center, in partnership with the Center for Popular Democracy; Urban League of Greater Philadelphia; New Pennsylvania Project; Common Cause PA; Philadelphia Neighborhood Networks; and Peace, Justice, Sustainability, NOW! is hosting a nonpartisan election protection training for community members on Wednesday, October 21st! The training will help community members understand potential election protection challenges and build practical skills to respond safely, lawfully, and effectively. You'll learn how to: - Better understand potential election protection challenges and where they may arise; - Strategize around election defense challenges and safe, nonviolent responses; - Build local networks for sharing reliable information and coordinating when issues arise; - Understand rapid-response roles, including communications trees, turnout, and safe assembly; and - Learn about legal observation at mobilizations and preparing for longer-term or sustained responses when necessary. Join us at the Samuel Staten Training School, inside Laborers' Local 332, and invite a friend!
