🚐Trip to Arizona from LA to canvass for Democrats

Join the Westside Democratic HQ for a Friday evening trip to Phoenix for canvassing event on the weekend of October 24-25 for the Democratic slate of Maricopa County! Please sign up by Sunday, October 18 in order to receive overnight accommodations in Arizona. Our mission in Arizona is to get voters to re-elect Democratic Congresswoman Yass Ansari -- which is critical to our overall goal of taking back the House majority. While we're talking to voters, we'll also gain their support for other Democratic candidates, such as the gubernatorial slate of Katie Hobbs / John Giles, state senate candidate Christine Marsh, and state representative candidates Sarah Liguori and Aaron Márquez. Also on the Arizona ballot are some Trump-connected ballot measures that need to be SHUT DOWN. One of them is Prop 144, which proposes to change the state's election laws to require photo IDs as well as restrict early voting and mail-in ballot procedures. Sound familiar? We need the voters in Maricopa County to vote NO on Prop 141, 142, 144, 316, 317, 318, 319, and 320. This is your chance to help Democrats in our sister state of Arizona by fighting side-by-side to prevent the sun from setting on democracy in the Sunset State. We'll meet at the WDHQ in Venice to board transportation at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 and drive to a hotel to spend the night. On Saturday morning, we'll meet organizers from the Maricopa County Coordinated Campaign for a training session and then spend the day knocking on doors and talking with voters. We'll spend Saturday night at the hotel, and then canvass more on Sunday. We'll return to the WDHQ in Venice on Sunday evening. As a volunteer, you'll be participating in the WDHQ's ground team for Taking Back the House Majority. This is important work and we would love to have you join us. Meetup location will be at the Westside Democratic HQ, located at 228 Main Street (near Rose). There is no parking available at the HQ lot, so please plan your transportation to
