Paws to Get Early Voting Information While You Rock-The-Vote

We are in the final stretch; no time for a CATnap. Democracy is not a spectator sport; it's a Red Dot. Pick something and make it PAWsitive. Do something PAWsome. Bring someone with the right CATtitude. Join us to paint VOTE rocks and take them with you to place in high-traffic areas around Gaston County. We will have information on early voting, how to register and vote on the same day, how to check your voter registration, and nonpartisan voter guides. You can even walk across the street and get a FREE ID and VOTE! If you want to see change, we need your help to convince your peers to participate in this year's midterm election. Turnout in midterm elections is 20% lower than in presidential election years (40% vs 60%). Just because you are motivated to vote does not mean your neighbors and friends are. Poll results are meaningless if the people polled do not show up to vote! If you truly want to see change, we need your help to motivate our community members to vote!!! To achieve change, we need to turn out voters who want: * Funded Public Schools * Affordable Healthcare * Affordable Housing * Fair maps * Voting Rights * Fair Taxes Time for the "Power of the People" to make sure the people in power are working for *us*! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
