A Joint Letter to End Foreign Wars Together

Dear Congressman Derek Tran, The Pentagon now confirms 21 U.S. service members killed and at least 865 wounded in the war with Iran. As a veteran, you understand what that means for military families. Besides, the Iran War is destroying our lives and our future. As you said, resources should be directed to help American families, improve our local infrastructure, protect and honor our veterans, strengthen our health care and education, and so much more. Congress must strengthen its oversight of the executive branch's power to initiate unnecessary wars. We recognize your leadership and strong voice on ending foreign wars. We cannot bear another unnecessary war — now or in the future. We hope you will clarify your stance and your plan, including: • Clearly and publicly articulating the necessity of ending the Iran War. • Explaining how you will work to end this war. • Committing to continue your oversight role at the congressional level, ensuring war powers return to the constitutional framework. • Entering constituents' appeals and stories into the Congressional Record, so the people's voices become part of the official archive.
