About this event
Join us for an information session on the five NYC Charter Amendment Proposals on the November 2026 ballot! We'll start with a brief overview of the ballot*, including the major federal, state, and judicial races. Then we'll explore how the five charter proposals came about, the role of the Charter Revision Commission, and the broader political context, including the balance of power between the mayor, City Council, and other stakeholders. For each of the five proposals, we'll review the facts, share our personal perspectives, and address questions. **Have questions already?** We want to hear them! Please send questions in advance to [jacksonheightsindivisible@gmail.com](jacksonheightsindivisible@gmail.com). We'll do our best to address as many as possible during the session. If we run out of time, we'll follow up by email. ### Read up before the session

The session will be recorded and shared afterward. We look forward to seeing you! *We can't cover every ballot variation across the city, so we'll be basing this on the sample ballot of a Jackson Heights resident.
