Stop the Tax Amendments - Our Orange Cty. School Board Needs to Hear from US

The Tax amendments are not a tax cut for everyday North Carolinians. It would just lock in more tax breaks for corporations and millionaires in our state, who have already benefitted from major tax breaks for over a decade. The Orange County Public School Strong Elected Outreach Team has met with several BOE and BOCC members to discuss the harm the tax amendments would have on our schools and community. We're asking them as public elected officials to use their platform to inform the school district and community with clear, factual, nonpartisan information via a Resolution. Early voting begins October 15th, Resolution from both Boards would go a long way to educate the community around the devastating impact these amendments may have on our county and state. And the more school boards and city and county commissions take a stand around the state the louder our collective voices become. We're asking you to let our local elected representatives know that you too care about the future of our schools and community. Make your Voice Heard and your Presence Known. The bigger the turnout the bigger the impact. There will be time for public comment. Bring a sign and bring a friend.
